Picture a momentous intercontinental live video Q&A session between high school students in the USA and the USSR. Their parents supposedly are ideological enemies. What would the teenagers want to - or be allowed to say to each other? Here is the first question, from a Russian girl, stated in halting English, before an international audience: "It is well-known that every American has what is called an American Dream. What is your American Dream?" ..... Up to that point, I'd assumed that American Dream was just a figure-of-speech. |
